Welcome to Innovation Through Knowledge Transfer 2014
2-4 April 2014 | Greenwich, London.
Hosted by the University of Greenwich

Innovation through Knowledge Transfer 2014 was an international conference focussing on innovation, entreprenurship and knowledge transfer.

InnovationKT 2014 is the conference for knowledge professionals - those academics, business people, managers and researchers working with innovation, enterprise, knowledge transfer, exchange and sharing.

Featuring world-class speakers, oral and poster presentation sessions and interactive workshops, the Conference was an excellent opportunity to disseminate, share and discuss the impact of university-business and business-business interactions.

Conference Theme:

The Future of Knowledge Exchange

One of the philosophies at the heart of the recommendations from Sir Andrew Witty’s review of 2013 is that:-

“Universities have an extraordinary potential to enhance economic growth. The full diversity of institutions have a role to play from local SME support and supply chain creation to primary technology leadership and breakthrough invention. Incentives should be strengthened to encourage maximum engagement from Universities in the third mission alongside Research and Education.”

This comes at a time when many of those involved would argue that interactions between universities and business have taken second place in importance behind research and the employability agenda.

InnovationKT 2014 will explore the future of knowledge exchange and how universities can take advantage of improvements in the economy and the steer given by Witty to revitalise the third mission.

The conference will provide an important opportunity for knowledge transfer practitioners from Europe and further afield to meet and share experiences of university-business-interaction, commercialisation and enterprise development.
